Action Learning

Taking Learning to the next level

What is it?

Action Learning is an accelerated learning tool where groups meet regularly to explore solutions to real problems and challenges they are facing at work.

How does it work?

Action Learning helps participants to reflect on what they have learnt, how to apply their insights, and increase the impact of any development experience. Action Learning Sets vary in length – usually from a half-day to a full-day – depending on the number of members in the group and their coaching experience.

When should I use it?

Action Learning is helpful in taking learning to the next level and is frequently recommended at the ‘Stretch’ stage of our STARS model. The reflection and review within the group enables learning to happen and effective action to be taken.

What is the impact?

  • 100% of our participants rated the action learning sets as excellent
  • 100% strongly agreed or agreed that they will use what they have learned (from coaching others or from being coached)
  • 100% strongly agreed or agreed that they would recommend the session to their colleagues
